Position Summary: Hilltop Residential has seen tremendous growth in our 3 years of existence with 18 acquired communities in the 4 major Texas markets. We are excited to be executing on our strategy of branching out into the Florida market and are seeking a highly motivated, experienced Area Manager who will be responsible for the implementation and expansion of property management functions for Hilltop’s assets in the Florida market. With our first 2 deals in Florida now under contract in the Bradenton and Sarasota areas, this Area Manager will begin their time at Hilltop by overseeing the takeover, staffing, and operations of these two assets, while simultaneously acting as the community director of the first asset acquired.  Upon stabilization and staffing of both assets, this person would hire a community director for the first asset and would then begin operating as our Florida Regional Manager.  With Hilltop’s core values as the foundation, our Area Manager will set the tone for, and continue the high standards of, customer service and performance at Hilltop Residential. Responsibilities Include:

  • Implement our property management strategies that support Hilltop’s core values throughout the Florida market. 
  • Execute on a property management strategy that sets Hilltop’s customer service and cost controls at levels that will maximize the performance of Hilltop‘s Florida assets.
  • Implement site level operating policies, procedures and programs as already established by Hilltop Residential, including the highest maintenance standards and methods, and cost control
  • Develop onsite personnel, building upon Hilltop’s culture of a place for hard work, integrity, and opportunity.
  • Evaluate how to continue to deliver resident focused technology to our residents.
  • Assist Hilltop in growing the portfolio into the Southeast market.
  • Directly supervise all their portfolio’s current onsite property teams.

Requirements

  • First-hand experience in all facets of multifamily property management and operations, including renovation experience, financial and customer service performance
  • Employment history that demonstrates the application and usage of an exceptional sales, marketing, and customer service background sufficient to quickly and consistently resolve customer complaints and issues, maximize revenues, manage spending, and complete financial and other reports and documents with accuracy and punctuality.
  • Experience leading, developing and training teams of 4 to 10 employees at different experience and skill levels.
  • Developed management and supervisory skills to lead, direct, evaluate, and mentor subordinate team members.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using property management software (preferably OneSite / Real Page), word processing, spreadsheet, and database management applications to complete and produce required reports and other employment documents.
