Full Job Description
As an Assistant Property Manager, you will work closely with the Property Manager to ensure that the community operations run smoothly. You will be responsible for monitoring leases, rent collections, move-in and move-out paperwork, coordinating with vendors and much more.
- Plan, develop and implement daily, weekly and monthly objectives of the Property
- Ensure all resident data is property entered and recorded in the company’s property management system
- Complete daily transactions and tasks related to the financial operation of the community by collecting and posting rent and other receivables, preparing bank deposits, processing invoices
- Create a fun and exciting environment that students can live in
- Supervise the planning, preparation and implementation of lease up events, renewal parties, property events and Resident Programs as approved by the Business Manager
- Lease and renew beds via in person, on the phone or online
- Respond quickly and courteously to residents and customer concerns and questions
- Work with the maintenance team to ensure the physical aspects of the community meet the Company’s standards for overall appearance and safety
- Perform various administrative tasks as needed or as directed by the Business Manager and any additional responsibilities as required
- Act as on-site supervisor in the absence of the Property Manager
- A Bachelor’s degree or proven success as an Assistant Property Manager position preferred
- Sales and/or management experience in multifamily housing, student housing, hospitality, or retail industries
- Ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in off campus student housing
- Strong organization skills and detail oriented
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Team player with high levels of professionalism, integrity, and enthusiasm
- Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements
