The Assistant Building Operations Manager must strive for the highest level of professionalism, while meeting the client’s needs, and a commitment to achieving the goal of 100% uptime throughout the engineering team. This includes the management of all Physical Plant personnel, work schedules, time and attendance reports. This position requires physical activity including standing, walking, climbing and ability to lift 50 pounds.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee total building operation of Physical Plant and Maintenance departments.
- Assist with management, scheduling and process payroll for Engineering department personnel.
- Oversee all full-time and part-time employees within the department.
- Manage building control system and all components associated with the climate control system.
- Program, monitor and schedule climate control system for the most economical level of operation.
- Develop and implement a safety-meeting for maintenance and actively participate in facility safety drills.
- Ensure maintenance team has required tools, parts, and resources to perform their job effectively and safely.
- Work to reduce gas, electric and water bills.
- Assist Director of Building Operations with organizing all building renovations, repairs and upgrades.
- Coordinate and document all building repairs and preventative maintenance using the Aware Manager system.
- Uphold and enforce company policy.
QUALIFICATIONS
- College Degree or Vocational Certification
- Strong Leadership Skills
- Thorough knowledge of local, state and federal codes and regulations
- Teamwork with emphasis on workplace safety
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Good time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work long hours, including days, nights, weekends and holidays
