Construction Management manages all on-site construction activities through installation on a project or multiple projects. Monitor safety, quality, and schedule in the field, while providing technical expertise and ensuring work in place meets quality requirements of contract documents, applicable codes, and Disney standards. Coordinate and interfaces with all Walt Disney Imagineering Studios, Walt Disney World Operations and Security, contractors, vendors, and governmental agencies. Construction Management is the primary responsible Studio for everything that happens on Walt Disney Imagineering construction projects, including all impact to Operations.

You will report to the Senior Manager, Construction

Responsibilities :

  • Manage the safety program in close coordination with Worldwide Safety
  • Monitor construction management contract compliance, submittal, and shop drawing process
  • Review contract applications for payment and makes recommendations to the Construction Manager
  • Maintain clarification, submittal, and deficiency logs
  • Coordinate with governmental agencies • Prepares site logistics plans
  • Manage Owner Furnished items
  • Keep record of weather impacts
  • Facilitate production of mock-ups/first articles for approval (DPEP, Creative, & Operator)
  • Prepare defienceny notices
  • Prepare contract directives for Construction Manager review

Basic Qualifications :

  • 5+ years of outside job related experience or 2+ years WDI Construction Management experience
  • 1+ years of experience with scheduling, estimating, budgeting, and quality control
  • Prepare professional bid packages
  • Hire outside vendors
  • Understand the needs of the client and to manage relationships between the owner/operator
  • Communicate with project team, vendors, consultants and WDI/DPEP partners
  • Understanding of the Project Development process
  • Organization skills
  • Task management
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Bluebeam (Drawing Reviews)
  • BIM 360 Field (desktop and mobile/iPad)
  • BIM 360 Glue (desktop and mobile/iPad)
  • BIM 360 Docs (desktop and mobile/iPad)
  • GC Project Management Platforms

Preferred Qualifications:

  • OSHA 30

Required Education :

  • College degree in a WDI Core discipline (such as Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Landscape Architecture) or related profession or technical school
