Position Title: Assistant Facility Manager

Imagine Museum’s mission is to elevate contemporary American studio glass through research, education, and exhibitions. Featuring preeminent works from the American Studio Glass Movement and an extraordinary selection of contemporary glass sculptures from around the world. Imagine Museum has over 500 significant pieces of glass works on display from their 1500-piece collection. The artwork is dramatically displayed throughout the 48,000 square feet of gallery space.

The Museum hosts multiple events, tours and educational programs designed to inform, inspire and uplift all who visit. Interactive spatial computing opportunities (augmented reality and virtual reality) are part of the memorable visual experience offered. The gallery exhibitions change throughout the year to expose the viewer to new artists and new works from the collection.

Imagine Museum is seeking a full-time Assistant Facility Manager who has the experience in doing the following:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Have a thorough understanding of all mechanical areas, inventory, control supplies, machinery, and equipment necessary to maintain the facility.

Understand all chemicals and supplies necessary to maintain the facility.

Discuss daily activities and schedule weekly maintenance projects with the Facility Manager.

Conduct routine surveys of building and grounds as directed by the Facility Manager to ascertain maintenance needs making written recommendations.

Complete work order requisitions with the Facility Manager based on the above findings.

Satisfy staff maintenance and repair work orders within the established deadlines.

Cosmetic and electrical maintenance as required.

Provide preventative maintenance on all equipment as scheduled.

Repair malfunctions and/or coordinate and assist on any such repairs with outside vendors.

Change A/C filter on a regular basis as directed by the Facility Manager.

Observes and discusses the need for projects within the facility, and submits written lists of the necessary project needs to the Facility Manager.

Submit reports and daily completed work logs to the Facility Manager.

Water plants, seed, and apply fertilizer as deemed necessary by the Facility Manager.

Clean paved surfaces, parking lots, and walkways.

Complete required paperwork for each assigned work order.

Maintain logs and documentation for the various systems.

Move museum furniture as needed or assigned by the Facility Manager.

Assist in set-ups for events as needed and directed by the Facility Manager.

Receive deliveries and assist in taking all deliveries to the designated areas.

Maintain a positive service-minded attitude and feeling of pride demonstrating a personal enthusiasm and team spirit.

Perform facility inspections and report on condition affecting operations when the Facility

Be knowledgeable of all property emergency, safety/disaster plans and procedures.

Assist in maintaining and complying with all City, County, State ordinances and codes, safety procedures and requirements.

Be available evenings and weekends to assist with the preparation of events and museum activities as needed.

Ability to perform the following physical tasks: sitting standing, stooping, stretching, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, performing repetitive motions, and carrying event furniture, and more.

Other assigned tasks as requested by the Facility Manager.

In order to be employed by Imagine Museum, we require that you have the following qualifications:

Qualifications

Minimal Education Level: High School diploma

Technical Certifications or Degrees Preferred

Certified Electrician (EC), Registered Electrician (ER), Certified Electrical Specialty Contractor (ES), and/or Registered Electrical Specialty Contractor (ET) Licensing Preferred

2-4 years of related experience

Strong mechanical aptitude

Computer/Technology Experience

Communicate effectively both orally and writing

Must be able to maintain detailed and accurate reports

Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds

Assistant Managerial Experience is a plus
