The Assistant Guest Services Manager assists the Guest Services Manager in overseeing the successful operation of all front-of-house activities for all theaters and public areas. The Assistant Guest Services Manager will take a leadership role in providing excellent customer service and scheduling training programs for volunteers and staff. The Assistant Guest Services Manager must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Guest Services

  • Responsible for advancing Front-of-House details for events.
  • Prepares monthly calendar information in Volunteer System.
  • Coordinates data entry in Volunteer System.
  • Provides quarterly volunteer statistics to management.
  • Assist the Guest Services Manager with all scheduling tasks.
  • Provides quality assurance testing for the LMS modules.
  • Coordinate with the ADA team to provide excellent customer service.

Management

  • Ensures efficiency and productivity of the Guest Services Coordinator staff.
  • Develops a sense of accuracy and urgency for the Guest Services Coordinator staff.
  • Assists the Guest Services Manager with evaluating the performance of Guest Services Coordinator staff and makes recommendations for improvement.
  • Assists the Guest Services Manager with providing up-to-date training of the staff.
  • Compile and manage the weekly Guest Services Coordinators schedule.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position supervises the Guest Services Coordinators.

Minimum Qualifications Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to lead, motivate and develop staff and effectively relate to staff, volunteers and guests..
  • Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations.
  • Uses professional knowledge and skills, both technical and managerial, to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
  • MS Access knowledge preferred; Excel required.

Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Theater, Business Management, or related field.
  • One year of experience managing a volunteer work force.
  • Certification in CPR and Basic First Aid.
