Local Property Management Firm is looking to hire an Assistant Manager/Leasing Director for a 260 unit apartment complex located in East Tampa. The Assistant Manager/Leasing Director is responsible for the leasing and marketing of the apartments, initiatives of a mixed market rate/affordable LIHTC & Section 8 Housing.
Must live within 20 mile radius of the Community
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leasing: 2 years (Required)
- Sales and Marketing: 2 years (Required)
- Customer Service: 5 years (Required)
- Residential property management: 2 years (Required)
- 3 year minimum experience in affordable housing (HUD, HOME, SHIP, NSP, HTF, LIHTC, and Public Housing)
- Excellent computer, oral, and written communication skills
- Understanding of property management software
- Working proficiency in Microsoft office software (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Prior experience in affordable housing apartment communities required
- Able to multi task and organize work/information
- Previous experience in residential leasing and/or property management is a necessity
- Candidate must have a strong sales aptitude, positive attitude, computer proficiency, and be a team player
- Communicate with prospective tenants via telephone and e-mail
- Conduct daily tours of the property
- Schedule appointments, process and manage rental applications to include collection of third party verifications (paystubs, employment verification, rental verifications, HUD paperwork, unit inspections prior to HUD inspections, filling out RTA’s, communication with case workers)
- Strong marketing skills and professional demeanor is a must at all times
- Self-Motivated
- Strong Collections Experience
- Can do Attitude
- Maintenance Coordination Experience is a plus

Salary: $14.00 to $17.00 /hour
