Job Summary

The Assistant Manager position focuses on the day-to-day activities of Resort Operations, including Housekeeping, Laundry, Reservations, and Guest Services. The Assistant Manager will carry out guest arrival and departure procedures, and will supervise and oversee the work activities of the Housekeeping staff to ensure cleanliness of condos, public areas and the resort premises in general.

Ability to work independently in the following areas:

Front Office / Reservations

  • Maintain positive relationships with the management company, property owners, and clients.
  • Provide that critical first impression to our guests and have a natural passion for delivering exceptional service.
  • Promptly provide accurate information regarding availability, accommodation types, rate, etc.
  • Answer questions regarding hotel facilities and services, local attractions, directions, etc.
  • Deal promptly and effectively with guest complaints and requests.
  • Welcome and serve guests in person and over the phone daily.
  • Provide the highest quality of service to the customer at all times.

Housekeeping

  • Provide excellent attention to our condos and public areas and inspect on a daily basis to ensure standards of cleanliness.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness, arrangement, and supply of all condos.
  • Ensure the safety procedures are being followed as well as the sanitation of all areas.

Additional Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate at all levels in English
  • Able to work weekends, holidays and evening hours.

Qualifications and Skills

Education

  • High school diploma or GED; 5 years experience in the guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional area. OR * 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 3 years experience in the guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional area.
