Actalent is seeking a construction project engineer/assistant project manager to support for our well-established client in the Tampa Bay area. Duties include managing multiple project management functions such as RFI, Submittal, shop drawing, and project coordination
Description:
Provides administrative and technical functions to multiple construction projects including submittals, RFIs, scheduling assistance, document organization, processing owner and subcontract AIA bills, subcontract coordination, cost engineering, and general project administration.
Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Basic understanding of Prolog, JD Edwards, Primavera 6, Textura and Blue Beam
Ability to read blue prints and perform quantity take-off
Basic understanding of construction means and methods and procedures
Good verbal, written, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and meet critical deadlines
Responsible for set up of project files
Responsible for administration of project closeout
Assist with development of trade scope packages

Skills & Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must have a associate’s degree, but preferably a bachelor’s degree, in a construction-related discipline (or equivalent experience) and experience in construction management.
Prior use of Procore highly desired or understanding of Prolog, Primavera, Timberline, or other construction software.
Ability to read blue prints and perform quantity take-off
Basic understanding of construction means and methods and procedures

Ability to work independently and meet critical deadlines
