THIS IS A PERMANENT POSITION
My client is a medium-sized GC with a network of offices across the country, from their Tampa office they are looking to recruit an Assistant Project Manager to work on Industrial Warehouse ground ups locally. They are looking for an Assistant Project Manager with a minimum of 2 years of Project Engineer experience and general contracting experience of over $5 million to support Sr. Project Managers, and Project Managers in building and delivering exceptional construction projects between $10 million- $70 million.
The Role of the Assistant Project Manager will:
Submittals
Tracking
CO review
Manage all project documentation in support of the Project Manager (RFI’s, Submittals, Meeting Minutes, and monthly project progress reporting)
Support Project Manager with project financial projections and assembly of monthly billings, and or invoicing.
Prepare project schedule and manage project deadlines
Assist with estimation and bidding, and scoping process
Assist with subcontract scope development, negotiation, and execution
Participate with subcontractor outreach and engagement events
Effectively communicate project progress to key stakeholders
Uphold and enforce safety policy and drive a safety-first culture
Collaborate with Project Team members to solve complex logistics, phasing, and scheduling requirements
The Ideal Assistant Project Manager will:
Bachelor’s degree in building construction, engineering, business management is preferred, or the equivalent of industry experience
Minimum of 2 years as a Project Executive or previous Assistant Project Manager
Experience of projects above $5 million
Be commutable to Tampa, FL or willing to relocate.
Ideally, have experience of Industrial Warehouses but this isn’t essential
Strong organizational skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to follow up on inquiries in a timely manner
Ability to understand and implement best practice standards
Ability to solve complex problems quickly and effectively
Ability to deliver quality through attention to detail
Organizational skills
Ability to build relationships with team members that transcend a project
Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, internally and externally
The Benefits of the Assistant Project Manager role:
