Job Title: Assistant Project Manager
Reports To: Vice President of Construction
Rate of Pay: Commensurate with Construction Experience
Position Objective:
The assistant project manager will be responsible for oversight of various project administrative activities and will participate in the construction process through assigned daily and monthly tasks to ensure the smooth transition between construction projects, and the efficient “takeoff” of construction projects. This position will be exempt and will report directly to Osprey’s Vice President of Construction.
Essential Job Duties:
- Coordinate construction process by monitoring project status from the initial estimate to the “punch list”, including verbal and written communication with all personnel involved.
- Organize and monitor the “takeoff” and/or “startup” of each job, including providing assistance as needed to Osprey’s various project coordinators, coordinate and procure equipment rental and supply orders for each job, and evaluate the timing required for “long-lead” materials and ensure such materials are ordered in a timely manner.
- Control documents and contracts or each job, including the following:
- Ensure that all bids are submitted completely and timely;
- Coordinate and maintain all contracts with subcontractors and suppliers;
- Create, submit, and track change orders and requests for bid information (RFIs).
- Complete and all duties assigned by the Vice President of Construction as well as special projects requested for the general support of the Osprey organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3 to 7 years of knowledge and experience in concrete and masonry construction.
- Proficient with “PlanSwift by ConstructConnect” software, as well as Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Self-motivated, organized, and professional team player with ability to communicate with Osprey employees and senior management, as well as third party business partners, with confidence and ease, both orally and in writing.
- Successful completion of drug screening and criminal background check.
