The Assistant Project Manager (APM) is responsible for assisting the Pre-Construction Team in delivering assigned projects on time, on budget, while maintaining positive customer satisfaction. Specifically, the APM will gather materials/information, update customer data in JobTread, update project information, submit purchase orders, and execute duties as assigned by the Director of Pre-Construction. They will ensure that projects are well documented, reports are created in a timely manner, purchase orders are scoped/submitted/followed up according to standard procedures and timelines. The Assistant Project Manager reports to the Director of Preconstruction.
Major Duties:
- Updates account information in JobTread as appropriate and requested by the assigned Project Manager.
- Creates project budgets under the supervision of the Director of Pre-Construction.
- Assists in the pricing of client selections and submit purchase orders to accounting team in a timely manner.
- Ensures each purchase order is accompanied by a detailed scope of work.
- Tracking material orders to make sure they arrive at the assigned jobsite on time in coordination with the job site superintendent.
- Visits jobsites as needed to assist with running materials and taking update photos for JobTread logs.
- Tracks pre-construction progress, update budget/schedule, and creates associated reports as assigned by the Director of Pre-Construction.
- Schedules inspections and responds to municipality comments for active permits at the direction of the project manager and superintendent team.
- Logs updates to all assigned projects in JobTread prior to Wednesday staff meeting.
- Assists Pre-Construction Team with other administrative duties.
Experience
- 1-2 years of a full-time work in a client-facing or customer service role required.
- Construction or project management experience beneficial but not required.
