Assistant Property Manager
Student Housing Community near USF seeking a qualified Assistant Property Manager. The correct candidate will oversee all daily activities to ensure the property runs smoothly and efficiently. Additionally, the position will oversee, train, and manage the schedule for all of the leasing employees. The assistant manager will be responsible for maintaining an occupancy level above 95% throughout the year and serve as a liaison with management and the other departments to improve the efficiency of the property. The candidate will ensure rental payments are received in a timely manner and resident issues are addressed and resolved in a prompt, courteous manner. In addition, the position will take the lead for marketing, advertising, and resident events. Specific job requirements include, but are not limited to:
Marketing Activities:
– Market vacant apartments to prospective residents
– Follow up on prospects by email or phone call on a daily basis
– Develop marketing techniques through social media.
– Develop a marketing plan for the distribution of postcards, flyers and promotional materials
– Visit local university and places of business in order to promote the property
Requirements:
– Must have a bachelor’s degree
– Must be professional in appearance and demeanor
– Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
– Must have knowledge of accounts receivable, billing and collections
– Must possess strong administrative and organizational skills
– Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Internet usage
– Must have excellent customer service, marketing and sales skills
– Must be available to work on some weekends
– Must perform other duties as needed by the Landlord
Experience:
– Should have at least 3 years’ experience as a Property Manager or Assistant Property Manager
in a student housing type community. Experience with Rent Manager preferred, but not required.
