Assistant Property Manager

Assistant Property Manager

This position assists in directing the efficient and effective operation of an assigned property. The Assistant Property Manager provides operational and financial acumen to lease renewals, rent collection, delinquency management, evictions, and applicable waiting lists while ensuring compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations. The work is performed in a variety of environments under the direction of the Property Manager and general oversight of the Chief Operating Officer. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position in Clearwater, FL.

Required Competencies & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management or Business Administration from an accredited college or university. Equivalent combination of experience, education and training may substitute for degree.
  • Three years’ progressively responsible experience in multi-family residence property management or similar environment.
  • Computer proficiency in Windows operating system and MS Office software including Word and Excel. Able to operate Internet applications and email as well as external vendors’ and applicable proprietary software programs including File Vision, Yardi and or HAB software.
  • Possession of valid Florida Driver’s License.

Necessary Knowledge:

  • Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) rules and regulations that apply to property management.
  • Laws and standards that apply to property management, such as Fair Housing Laws, OSHA Standards, Local and State Building Codes.
  • Basic building maintenance and fire prevention liability reduction principles.
