Job Summary
The Assistant Property Manager (APM) provides a wide variety of administrative support services for the Property Manager. The APM will be responsible to perform office work directly related to property management and the general business operations of the community. Some of the duties include but are not limited to general clerical, project based work and assuring all tenant inquiries have been dealt with in a timely matter.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
· Assist the Property Manager in managing the general operations of the community.
· Work with Property Manager to administer renewal program and works to maximize tenant renewals
· Prepares welcome packages for new and renewal tenants
· Oversees the tracking and response to tenant service requests
· Coordinates insurance requirements for properties and associated vendors
· Responsible for the development preparation and distribution of tenants’ manuals, emergency
· procedures and other necessary formalized tenant communication
· Responsible for the preparation of check runs, capital trackers and funds and all other forms for approval by Property Manager
· Responsible for ensuring positive tenant relations and complying with all reporting requirements
· Assist with creating, compiling, preparing, copying and distributing internal correspondence, memos, forms, agendas, presentations and reports in a timely matter
· Receive, coordinate resolution of and respond to incoming calls from customers/tenants, FSRR
· colleagues and calls from governmental entities
· Creates data-entry for new tenants
· Produces Resident Record in the Yardi system for new tenants
· Responds to all problems and concerns and ensures compliance with rules and regulations
· Responsible for assisting with coordinating marketing and leasing of property
· Prepare and maintain files

· Provides five-star customer service by attending to all calls and returning messages immediately
· Follows safety procedures and maintains a safe work environment

**Education & Experience
· Associate’s Degree (A.A./A.S.) in Business or related field, or equivalent combination of
education and experience required
· Property Management experience required
Knowledge, Skills & Proficiencies
· Computer proficiency to include Microsoft Office Applications
· Proficiency and working knowledge of YARDI software a plus
· Working knowledge of Sharepoint a plus
· Action and results-oriented, enthusiastic
· Resourceful, creative, decisive
· Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required
· Excellent organizational skills
· Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels
· Positive, can-do attitude with a commitment to excellence
· Ability to meet stringent deadlines

Physical Requirements & Working Environment
Physical demands include ability to lift up to 50 lbs; Standing, sitting, walking and occasional climbing.
The employee is required to work at a personal computer for extended periods of time as well as talking on the phone for extended periods of time. Ability to detect auditory and/or visual emergency alarms.
Ability to work extended/flexible hours and weekends occasionally. Driving required. Ability to respond to emergencies in a timely manner.
