We have a great opportunity for a motivated and experienced Assistant Property Manager to join our team and growing company.
Scope and Purpose
To be responsible, under the supervision of the Resident Manager, for all phases of the operation of the properties, including, but not limited to, the general administration and maintenance of the physical plant: to direct and control all personnel and resources to the end that the property is maintained at all times in good physical condition with a stabilized fiscal operation.
Duties and Responsibilities (may include, but are not limited to):
- Help prospective residents in finding an apartment home
- Enter all new move-ins and move-outs into the operating system
- Market the apartments
- Adhere to all accounting directives
- Make bank deposits daily or as required
- Ensure the residents are provided a safe, clean, well-maintained community
- Update the apartment board with new move-outs and ready units
- New move-out inspections for deposit refund processing
- Changing rents to current market rate as they are vacated
- Purchasing or authorizing purchases for all maintenance work
- Approves or rejects rental applications
- Collecting all rents, both current and past due
- Updating all advertising
Qualifications
- Certified leasing Professional or similar designation or two years of leasing experience
- Pleasing personality and ability to work well with the general public
- Common sense and judgment in day to day matters
- Even-tempered
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to solve resident, personal, and financial problems
- Neat, clean and appropriate appearance
- Accounting and administrative background preferred
