Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Assistant Property Manager for our apartment community. As the Assistant Property Manager you will support the Property Manager in the efficient operation of the community while providing outstanding service to residents and providing team support to community personnel. The ideal candidate will have great supervisory and leadership skills, be experienced in rent collections and must be able to assume responsibility for the property in the Property Managers absence. Primary duties include but are not limited to:
Assisting with hiring, orientation, training and scheduling of all office personnel.
Responsible for inventory and ordering of all administrative supplies and equipment for the office.
Responsible for efficient and timely reporting of all administrative files and reports as well as post rent to the computer tracking system (MRI); Perform bookkeeping functions as necessary.
Assisting in designing and implementing a resident retention program.
Responsible for inspecting model, office, vacants and scheduling the inspection of all make-readies.
Thorough knowledge of property, leasing techniques, sales methods and competitors.
Assisting with the lease renewal program.
Responsible for thorough knowledge of management company policies and procedures and property community policies.
Responsible for ensuring that all personnel operate within OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Act) standards and company safety policies at all times.
Responsible for seeking educational opportunities and self-improvement for personal growth and development.
Qualifications:
Education:
Required: High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
Experience:
Required:
One to Two years in property management.
Additional Skills:
Required:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office software
Preferred:
Knowledge and experience with MRI
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
The Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Resident Apartment Manager (ARM) designations are highly recommended for this position
