Job Description:
Your primary job will be assisting the manager and taking over when the manager is not available, and to sell your facility and yourself to a wide range of people. This involves person-to-person selling as well as telephone sales. Our assistant managers take an active role in maintaining the cleanliness and maintenance of their facility when they are not needed in the office for sales and customer maintenance. Other responsibilities include:
- Answering calls from potential customers to identify their needs and recommending the best storage solution to reduce the stress and hassle of their storage and moving experience.
- Providing exceptional customer service for existing customers.
- Managing and following-up on sales leads.
- Recognizing opportunities to cross sell services and products.
- Communicating courteously with all customers by telephone and email.
- Maintaining product and procedure knowledge, and keeping abreast of changes.
- Our assistant managers take an active role in maintaining the cleanliness and maintenance of their facility when they are not needed in the office for sales and customer service.
- Working smoothly with the facility manager, maintenance person and other team members.
Qualifications:
Some of your qualifications will include:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Customer service experience.
- Proficiency in computer technologies and equipment.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Good health. You may be required to walk considerable distances, bend to pick items up off the floor and lift packages and other items weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Drive a golf cart, operate small power tools, and get into and out of rental trucks.
Benefits
This full-time / nonexempt position has a starting wage of $12.00 to $13.00 per hour, depending on experience. There also is an additional performance bonus that can add the equivalent of another $.50 to $1 per hour to one’s wage.
