Excellent position in a national apartment management company for an Assistant Property Manager is now available.
Job Summary:
The Assistant Property Manager will assist the Property Manager in all aspects of daily community operations, focusing on the financial and operational responsibilities.
Role Responsibilities:
· Supports the role of the community manager, and is knowledgeable of all their duties, in the case of their absence.
· Review rental rates with Property Manager and establish good leasing practices with leasing staff.
· Oversee budget with emphasis on delinquency and lease renewals; contacting residents, sending notices and filing evictions as needed.
· Supports the accounting functions of posting rents and invoices.
· Maintain a high level of customer service, including but not limited to resident correspondence.
· Oversee community presentation, including office, model units, vacant units, community grounds, amenities while maintaining a high level of customer service.
· Maintain occupancy, set rental rates, manage vacancy and strive to meet budget expectations along with metric goals set on a weekly, monthly and annual basis.
· Familiarize with job duties of staff; set goals, monitor performance, motivate and adhere to policies while creating a sense of teamwork and community.
· Follow policies relating to but not limited to fair housing, OSHA and safety standards set by the company.
· In case of emergency, being available and accessible to community at all hours.
Qualifications:
· College Degree preferred or 3 years prior leasing experience
· Previous experience with customer service, finance is preferred
· Excellent communication and verbal skills
· Ability to maintain a flexible, 7 day a week schedule, which may include weekends and/or holidays
