What You Will Do:

  • Plot and assemble construction plans.
  • Organize and schedule subcontractor work to accomplish goals on projects within established budgets and timelines; coordinate with engineers and other design team members.
  • Inspect work progress, tracking materials and costs.
  • Coordinate various phases of construction to avoid delays.
  • Maintain and produce a quality product.
  • Oversee crew on the job from start to finish.
  • Promote and maintain onsite job safety standards; conduct weekly safety meetings on the job.
  • Maintain communication with project owners and internal Development and Construction leaders to keep them informed of job progress.
  • Manage project budget to keep job cost at or below estimated cost.
  • Monitor units, materials, man hours, and equipment.
  • Conduct pre-construction meetings.
  • Job and crew scheduling.
  • Carry out punch list items.
  • Review staff work for quality assurance.
  • Manage and/or participate in all site inspections.
  • Obtain and close out building permits, and conduct final walk throughs.
  • Produce engineering plans and reports for construction.
  • Confer with and direct personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work schedules.
  • Make recommendations and modifications regarding project performance, business needs, etc.
  • Any other tasks assigned or directed.

What You Will Need to Succeed:

  • Ability to work independently in a team environment and to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • General knowledge of the real estate and development industry
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and relate effectively, productively, and positively with other associates
  • Knowledge of submittal requirements for local, country, and state agencies
  • Ability to manage and lead a team effectively
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and organize work schedule and duties independently
  • Attention to detail and precision skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge and computer operation systems (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability to perform basic to intermediate mathematical functions
  • Ability to work a schedule during normal working hours and that may be other than Monday-
    Friday, 8-5. Work in excess of 40 hours per week is likely
  • Consistent, regular and in person attendance during assigned hours at the workplace are required
