What you get to do:
As an Assistant Supervisor for Park Operations, you’ll play a lead role in ensuring positive, memorable guest experiences. You’ll strive to exceed guest expectations while resolving any and all guest situations. This involves training, coaching and mentoring Ambassadors to deliver consistently outstanding performances. You will also:
- Provide Ambassadors with proper training and tools
- Monitor daily operations of the area
- Correct issues and provide positive reinforcement to Ambassadors
- Monitor and adjust schedules to accommodate workload fluctuations
- Conduct equipment and safety checks
- Maintain inventory and stocks
- Communicate consistently with other areas throughout the park
- Enforce department/park policies and procedures
- Complete daily and weekly reports
- Maintain area cleanliness
- Follow park protocol in emergency situations
- Assist other locations and areas in the park as needed
- Ensure departmental goals for safety, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction are met
- Enforce all park and departmental policies and procedures
What it takes to succeed:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have three months of Park Operations or related leadership experience required; Experience in Theme Park Guest Arrival and Front Gate processes preferred
- Five days of unrestricted availability per week – both weekend days preferred
- Work a flexible schedule/hours based on business need, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts; nights, weekends, and holidays
- Be flexible in work location as all positions in Operations are subject to career development change based on growth opportunities and business needs.
- Valid state driver’s license and ability to meet company driving guidelines
- Strong communication, interpersonal and multi-tasking skills
- Basic computer proficiency with MS Office
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced, challenging working environment
- Ability to obtain CPR certification
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Proven ability to motivate a team
- Have organizational skills, follow-through skills, and ability to enforce standard operating procedures
- Communicate effectively and with leadership, ambassadors and all others conducting business on our properties
- Be able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis. Some specific work areas may require heavier lifting
- Perform the following physical activities on a frequent basis: kneel, squat, stand, walk, climb, bend floor- to- waist/waist-to-overhead and reach overhead, simple grasp and fine manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing).
- Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift
- Be able to work indoors and in dimly lit outdoors, in varying Florida weather, to include extreme heat.
- Position will be exposed to cleaning chemicals, fumes, dust, odors and possibly cold/heat temperature extremes
