Associate Attorney / Construction – Remote FL Boyd & Jenerette is seeking an associate attorney with two to four years of experience to join our booming construction law practice. Experience in construction law and/or insurance defense is preferred but not required. We desire a driven, highly organized, multitasker, interested in working on complex multi-party high exposure construction cases, with strong legal writing and advocacy skills. This opportunity is eligible for a sign-on bonus.
Responsibilities
- Analyze facts and prepare a defense strategy
- Prepare and analyze discovery
- Attend and take depositions
- Report to clients and comply with all relevant guidelines and expectations
- Conduct legal research
- Respond to and prepare pleadings
- Debrief and work closely with clients, experts, and witnesses
- Attend mediations
- Extensive motion practice
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Desire to work in a collaborative environment
- Superior attention to detail
- Must possess great time management skills
- Team-oriented spirit
- Preferred but not required:
- Experience in construction
- Experience in construction law
- Experience in insurance defense
Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience
- Florida Bar admission
- Strong, relevant, verifiable experience
