The Savills Strategy Team is seeking to hire a bright and motivated team member who can support transaction modeling, portfolio analytics and strategy development, location selection and evaluation, and other sophisticated analyses as they relate to a client’s real estate requirements. Candidates for this role should have excellent analytic skills and a track record of supporting either internal or external stakeholders. At minimum, candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree, preferably with a finance, economics, or accounting oriented concentration. Real estate, economics, mathematics, engineering, and applied science concentrations are also acceptable.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES

  • Oversee and manage real estate financial analysis for client projects and pursuits.
  • Continuously seek ways to improve financial modeling tools and processes to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and responsiveness to market changes.
  • Create sophisticated Excel-based analytical tools including macro-enabled financial models, running ad-hoc financial analysis.
  • Read and review real estate documents and prepare abstract reports.
  • Lead the preparation of client presentations and pitch materials.
  • Gather and evaluate economic, demographic, and real estate market data for input into client deliverables and financial models.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including market research, brokerage, and project management, to deliver integrated real estate solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by providing insightful, data-driven recommendations and demonstrating an understanding of their strategic objectives.
  • Assist on portfolio analytics projects and acquisition and disposition strategies for key corporate clients.
  • Research and analyze market data including labor, cost, and other market factors to advise clients on site selection, portfolio optimization, and incentive procurement projects.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proficiency in advanced financial analysis and modeling, including DCF, NPV, IRR, and cash flow analysis, is essential.
  • Strong capabilities in MS Office, particularly Excel (VBA or macros), and familiarity with real estate software (e.g., Argus) are highly desirable.
  • Self-starter with excellent organizational skills and a strong work ethic who can thrive under minimal supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of real estate financial analysis, accounting principles, and financial reporting standards, as well as practical understanding of the different bases of accounting and how to apply them appropriately.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience growing internal and external stakeholder relationships.
  • Skilled at communicating and making presentations to clients and Savills partners.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or another business-related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar client facing role, preferably within a consulting or other professional services environment
  • Financial planning and analysis (FP&A) experience is a plus.
