Position: Associate, Real Estate
Location: Tampa, FL
Why Open: New Position Due to Growth
As an Associate, Real Estate, one is held accountable to, however not limited to, the following job functions:
Financial modeling:
• Create financial models to evaluate potential new investment opportunities which include project and portfolio level performance and structured finance
• Create financial models to evaluate property investment exit strategies with operating costs/revenue and income streams
• Update financial models with actual data to evaluate investments
Key responsibilities:
• Develop a relationship with his/her counterparts in the field, periodically visit properties, and attend budget and leasing meetings/calls to become intimately familiar with all aspects of their assigned properties.
• Business plan preparation and execution, developing monthly cash flow projections, support leasing strategy, collect financials and review budgets, prepare monthly and/or quarterly reporting, and work- with third parties, including operating partners, brokers and property management companies
• Research/evaluate market trends, rental rates, and occupancy trends to update investment assumptions within models (in advanced Excel)
• Assist in the development and presentation of real estate and other investment summaries for recommendations to senior management for approval
• Lead or assist with sale, leasing and disposition efforts of real estate assets including transaction management and closing supports
• Lead or assist with due diligence, and underwriting the acquisitions of real estate assets including site visits and coordinating and managing relationships with real estate brokers
• Collaborate and work closely with counterparties including management company teams, operating partners, and internal stakeholders
• Conduct in depth market and portfolio analyses; understand industry trends
• Maintain performance reports for internal tracking and reporting and to share with investing partners
• Assist in the preparation of company presentations to the management team and quarterly board materials for Blackstone
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or degree from an accredited institution in Finance, Economics or Real Estat
• Two Years minimum work experience in Real Estate Finance, Private Equity or Senior Housing
• Must have significant MS Office Excel and PowerPoint expertis
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage internal and external relationship
• Organizational skills with the ability to identify and manage prioritie
• Detail oriented and strong analytical skill
• Solid financial modeling skills, analytical / logical mindset, and attention to detai
• Ability to work both autonomously and in a team settin
Preferred Qualifications
• Minimum two years of real estate experience with asset management and transaction experience in commercial real estate product types preferre
• Experience in construction management or real estat
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, or related fields
