AT&T is planning on creating 350 jobs in Florida as it expands its national wireless and wired IP broadband networks.
Most of the jobs are expected to be in the South Florida area, according to the South Florida Business Journal.
New positions are a result of AT&T’s Project Velocity IP, or Project VIP, a three-year, $14 billion investment plan to expand and enhance the company’s wireless and broadband networks, according to a written statement.

“The investment we’re making in our wireless and wired networks is essential to spurring Florida’s economy and creating jobs,” Marshall Criser III, AT&T Florida president, said in the statement.
AT&T (NYSE: T) launched its 4G LTE in Tampa, St. Petersburg, Sarasota and Bradenton in 2012, and most recently in Hernando County in March.
