Howard Sloan is working with a client here in downtown Tampa, FL seeking to hire a Bilingual (Spanish and English speaking) Legal Assistant/Paralegal to become a part of their team! You will provide overall support to Attorneys’ business needs and be an important part of the team primarily assisting the Attorney(s) with every day functions including but not limited to; coordinating depositions, document collection and assisting clients on behalf of the Attorney. Ideally we are seeking someone with experience in the legal field that can hit the ground running and has a stable work history.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research to support legal proceedings
- Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents
- Investigate facts to help in the negotiation of legal disputes
- Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Record and store client information
- E-file documents and communicate with the Court daily
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a paralegal or other legal field
- Familiarity with legal research
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
