Job Title: Full Charge Bookkeeper (Hybrid Environment)
Job Summary: The Full Charge Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing all recurring accounting and bookkeeping clients. This includes reconciliations, issuing internal financial statements, and proactively communicating with clients. The ideal candidate should have the foresight to know when client intervention by a Manager is required. They will work with the Controller to ensure multi-entity management and journal entry accuracy and collaborate with the Accounting Manager to resolve client concerns, accounting questions, and process-related questions. Additionally, the Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for the company, tracking and recording all financial transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and assisting with the preparation of financial statements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Record all financial transactions and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
• Apply vendor payments against AP where applicable
• Apply customer payments against AR where applicable
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices, issuing payments, and managing collections
• Ensure the completion of the monthly client list
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure that all transactions are properly recorded
• Prepare financial reports and assist with the preparation of financial statements
• Reconcile intercompany activity with multi-entity clients
• Prepare and file tax returns, including sales tax, payroll tax, and income tax
• Manage company credit cards and expense accounts
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting
• Communicate with other departments to ensure that financial information is accurate and up to date
• Maintain confidentiality of all financial information
Requirements:
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• At least 5-10 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• Must have strong QuickBooks, QBO, and other accounting platforms
• Must have strong technology skills to navigate between multiple remote environments
• Must be adaptable to ever-changing technology, Outlook, Zoom, Microsoft Office, and other technology platforms
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Exceptional customer service skills
