Bookkeeper

The Master Chorale of Tampa Bay and Gulf Coast Youth Choirs are searching for a part-time Bookkeeper to work for both organizations from their shared office space on the USF Tampa campus. The position will require on average one day per week and reports to the Director of Operations.

Skills/Qualificatio ns: Dealing with complexity, data entry skills, accounting, attention to detail, confidentiality, and thoroughness. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and QuickBooks is required. Prior experience working with a chorus, musical group, or other non-profit arts organization is highly desirable.

Duties include:

Ø Prepare and enter transactions such as:

 Deposits

 Bills

 Checks for payment

 Invoices

 Billing for Registration, Tuition & Tours

 Monthly Statements

 Payroll (incl. monthly tax deposits, quarterly payroll returns, year end W-2’s and 1099’s)

 Reconcile bank and credit card statements

 PayPal/Google checkout accounts

 Monthly sales tax

Ø Run financial reports such as:

 Profit & Loss – monthly

 Balance sheet – monthly

 Cash flow – monthly

 Assist with Budget Preparation Annually

 Assist with Grant Preparation, Grant Reimbursement and Grant Final Reports

 Finalize Year End ready for Accountant to prepare Form 990

Ø Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
