Rent It Network, one of the fastest growing property management companies in the Tampa Bay region, is hiring a part time bookkeeper. This is an accounting and compliance focused position with accountability for effectively managing all aspects of general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and bank reconciliations.

Position Overview:

The Bookkeeper assists with accounting related functions for Properties, Owners, Tenants, Vendors and the Company and collaborates with the accounting/compliance assistant and third-party companies used for accounting and reconciliation functions. Additional responsibilities include completing payroll, performing accounts payable and accounts receivable activities and financial reporting for related companies. Communicates with all parties on an as needed basis for accounting related questions.

Responsibilies:

  • Assist with incoming calls, email and follow-up on accounting related matters
  • Receive, log and post incoming funds from tenants, owners and vendors
  • Complete bank deposits
  • Review enter and initiate vendor payables
  • Calculate, review and pay management company fees
  • Review ledgers and initiate owner payments
  • Review and complete final move out accounting for security deposit dispositions
  • Complete annual owner and vendor audit and prepare tax documents (1099’s, 1042’s, cash flow statements, etc.)
  • Review and process monthly corporate credit card and expense statements
  • Process bi-weekly and monthly payroll
  • Complete monthly bank reconciliation of Trust and corporate accounts
  • Assist with creating budgets and projections
  • Complete monthly financial management reports
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Requirements:

  • At least 1-2 years’ related experience in bookkeeping/accounting
  • Associates Degree in accounting (Bachelors preferred)
  • Property management experience is a plus
  • Well versed in accounting fundamentals

Compensation and Structure:

Position starts at 20-25 hours per week with a Monday through Friday 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. schedule (no weekends). We offer a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to transition into full time if desired.
