Bristol-Myers Squibb has selected 5104 Eisenhower Blvd. S. in Hillsborough County near Tampa International Airport for the location of the company’s new North America Capability Center.
The biopharmaceutical company (NYSE: BMY) will occupy about half of a four-story building at the site. It will lease 70,000-square-feet of office space, a statement said. It has a 10-year agreement with an option to lease an additional 60,000-square-feet.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
In July, the company announced plans to bring 579 highly skilled positions to the Tampa Bay region starting in 2014. About 250 knowledge workers in information technology, marketing services, business and finance services, and other functions supporting the company’s biopharmaceutical business in the United States will occupy the center when it opens in January.
The property is owned by TIER REIT Inc.
TIER REIT is a Dallas-based real estate investment trust focused on providing quality, attractive, well-managed commercial office properties in dynamic markets throughout the United States, including Tampa.
