We are seeking a Broker Director to expand Friedman Brokerage’s Florida operations along the west coast of the State of Florida. Friedman Brokerage Company currently has operations based in the Fort Lauderdale area. Our firm specializes in office, industrial and retail leasing and office, industrial, retail, land and multi-family sales. This position reports directly to the Managing Director of Brokerage Services and is responsible for guiding and executing the corporate vision.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating, managing and implementing a successful business development plan (growth). This is the process of acquiring new brokerage relationships or tenants through direct contact, cold calling, and business-to-business marketing plans.
- Develop and mentor the team ensuring they collectively reach quotas and goals.
- Lead best practice initiatives and operational efficiencies.
- Oversee the preparation of client deliverables and presentations demonstrating value-add to the client.
- Oversee the preparation of proposals and offering materials for new or existing assignments and pursuits utilizing effective work planning capabilities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients.
- Proactively manage execution of client engagements to ensure excellence, consistency and profitability.
- Assist in broker recruiting and making employment decisions
- Communicate and lead by example, the vision and core values of the company.
- Actively participate in industry forums, conferences, and membership in key civic organizations.
- Develop a client base that generates a sustainable number of referrals and leads that produces income for the Broker Director, team and the company.
- Input on the strategy for developing the next generation of brokers for the Friedman Brokerage West Florida office.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 7+ years of related work experience.
- Florida real estate license required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to participate with the executive leadership team.
- Comfortable interfacing directly with a demanding client base.
- Self-starter, team player, and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to think independently and bring alternate points of view to the discussion.
- Ability to analyze and translate qualitative and quantitative data into strategic deliverables and business opportunities.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines with a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail and business maturity.
- Project execution experience, leadership, staff and client management skills are required.
