Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include minor repairs and maintenance of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and interior and exterior common areas. The technician (building engineer) will perform daily inspections of the properties, work within facility budgets, and act as on-site liaison between tenants, vendors, and the management team. Building Engineer will maintain inventory of tools and equipment. Experience and working knowledge of commercial building systems such as Energy Management Systems and fire protection systems is required. Ideal candidate for building engineer must have the ability to work without direct supervision. Professional and courteous interaction with our customers (tenants and vendors) is expected. Must also have strong problem solving skills. Emergency on-call evening and weekend responses may be required. High Rise Experience a plus. Position requires moderate emailing and accessing electronic documents. Building Engineer will maintain a superior personal image and positive demeanor while representing The Dilweg Companies and their assets.
Physical Requirements:

Background and Education:
High school diploma required, technical certifications are a plus. Clean Driving Record and valid license a must. Background check, drug testing required. 3 to 5 years maintenance experience in commercial real estate is preferred.
