Summary
Under general supervision of the Business Development Director, the Business Development Analyst will assist in everything from the development of the company’s products and services, to the creation of marketing strategies, to the generation of sales leads, to negotiating and closing deals. The Business Development Analyst will acquire knowledge to develop new markets, new businesses, new distribution channels, etc. Analytical skills are essential, as is the ability to motivate others and provide leadership to accomplish team goals without having direct authority over team members.

General Duties and Responsibilities:
•Actively researches contract bidding opportunities.
•Conducts product and bidding opportunity analyses; includes creating bid analyses, researching the market, and researching and corresponding with possible partners.
•Prepares and submits bids.
•Maintains/administers current contracts including sales reporting, modifying prices, adding/removing products, and corresponding with Contracting Officers.
•Conducts sales reports and develop market growth strategies.
•Corresponds with vendors to maintain current contracts and pricing data.
•Registers GSMS with state procurement agencies for bidding opportunities.
•Tracks state and Federal government bidding opportunities
•Generates new business partnership leads.
•Updates and maintain price lists.
•Updates and maintain product descriptions and prices in Syspro and EDI.
•Supports Director, Business Development with analytical pricing and profitability data.
•Performs other related duties as required.

Received: Directives from Director, Business Development.

Physical/Cognitive Requirements:
Approximate experience, or equivalent knowledge and skills, necessary to satisfactorily perform the position responsibilities.
Work is self-initiated.
Anticipates and resolves all complex problems independently.
Travel 10% or greater of the time.
May be required to work longer than the typical 8-hour work day.
Must lift, bend, stoop, climb, and pull in the process of moving boxes and packages from one location to another, and filing.
Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
Must be able to sit for 90% of the day.

Miscellaneous Requirements:
Maintain a strong attendance record.
Must be able to pass screening, drug test and background check. Adhere to company’s drug-free workplace policies.
