Business Development Manager
Purpose
To establish trusted relationships with prospective clients and referral sources by regularly engaging with them at networking events, following up with them via phone calls, setting one on one meetings with them, and intentionally offering consulting and support for their relocation questions and needs.

Essential Functions

- Sign up, prepare for, and attend networking events with stated objectives and goals.
- Continually prospect for potential new clients and opportunities.
- Intentionally refer and engage with industry peers for the purposes of serving the CRE market and exemplifying a win-win approach to business development.
- Cold call within the market or the target geographic area to ensure a consistent pipeline of opportunities.
- Sign up, become a member of, volunteer and assume board or committee member responsibilities for the CRE organizations you are aligned with and network within.
- Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.
- Continually identify potential clients and the decision makers within the sales environment you are engaged in.
- Research companies for the purposes of identifying a target list of contacts within the prospective client’s organization – and make the cold calls.
- Leverage social media to promote the Relocation Strategies Tampa brand
- Read, study, acquire, and maintain industry knowledge to ensure you are well informed and in the know of current affairs.
- Set up meetings with decision makers, leaders, executives, and principals of prospective client companies.
- Execute project assessments.
- Prepare project proposals.
- Participate in pricing our services.
- Plan and execute proposal presentations.
- Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing our value related to the prospective clients “pain points”, and working through differences to achieve a positive result.
- Ensure that sales performance data is accurately entered and managed within the company’s CRM or other sales management system.
- Forecast sales targets and ensure they are met. Maintain responsibility for detailing any performance shortcomings and providing plans for corrective action.
- Report on sales activities and performance.
Education:
Business development management positions require a 4-year degree and 2+years of related sales experience.
