FORT MYERS — Alta Resources, a call center for hire that does work in the health care, health insurance and entertainment industries, plans to hire more than 400 people for a new Lee County facility.
The Wisconsin-based firm, which works for global brands and Fortune 100 companies, announced the expansion in a release today. The company will move into an office in the Gateway Corridor at 12600 Gateway Blvd. Gartner Inc. previously occupied the 63,275-square-foot building.
“This is a time of tremendous growth for Alta Resources,” Alta Resources Chairman and CEO Jim Beré says in the statement. “We are thrilled to make Fort Myers the site of our newest location as it brings access to a great employment base.”
The firm has already begun hiring people for a variety of positions, including full time, part time, year-round and seasonal. English and bilingual English-Spanish positions are available. Alta Resources was founded in 1995. The firm has offices in California and the Philippines, in addition to its Neenah, Wis., headquarters.
Local commercial real estate broker Gary Tasman represented Alta Resources in lease negotiations. The Lee County Economic Development Office also worked with Alta Resources, to evaluate real estate and the area’s available workforce, the statement says. “What a great new opportunity for Southwest Florida,” Tasman says in the statement. “Alta Resources works with many of the best brands in the world, including Fortune 100 companies, which requires recruiting and hiring the best people.”
