Job Description

Ensure new claims are timely reported to appropriate carriers
Confirm claim acknowledgements are obtained and entered into Agency Management System
Manage a caseload of approximately 150-200 claims
Provide frequent communication to clients based upon established timeframes during the claim
Coordinate with adjusters on appropriate claim handling strategies
Ensure reserve accuracy on files
Participate in client meetings and discuss claim developments Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Minimum of 2-3 claims handling experience with an emphasis on both first property and liability claims
  • Preferable field property claims adjusting experience
  • Loss control and risk management experience a plus
  • Understanding of litigation processes
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing with others, to explain basic issues, to receive and interpret claim information and to respond appropriately
  • Knowledge of correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization and style to prepare a wide variety of correspondence

EDUCATIONAL/TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

MISCELLANEOUS

 

  • Be willing to travel as needed.
