Job Summary

This position will assume responsibility for coordinating, managing and closing national complex, high liability commercial real estate transactions ranging from single site to multi-site commercial real estate transactions.

Essential Functions:

  • Title clearance and satisfaction of commitment requirements
  • Resolution of title comments/objection letters
  • Preparation of complex single site and multi-site commercial closing statements
  • Disbursement of closing funds.

Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 -7 years prior experience as title officer or escrow officer in a busy national commercial title and closing operation in the title industry.
  • High School Diploma or College Degree with demonstrated proficiency in mathematics.
  • Ability to demonstrate fluency and power-user proficiency in First American Title Insurance Company’s FAST proprietary title and escrow platform in a national commercial operational setting; including full utilization of FAST workflow technology and workflow tasking.
  • Ability to successfully manage and close complex, high-liability single and multi-site commercial real estate transactions and experience utilizing Excel to prepare complex, multi-site closing statements.
  • Proven knowledge and competency in the areas of title fulfillment, escrow/settlement procedures and title insurance principles and procedures as they relate to underwriting and closing national commercial real estate transactions.
  • Proficiency in Excel with the willingness to embrace technology applications to achieve excellence in customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work to successfully meet imposed deadlines.
  • Must possess detail orientation with proven ability to produce quality, error-free work.
  • Confidence and capability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Superior customer service skills required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Must be professional and a team player.
