Job Description: Maintenance Technicians are responsible for the general maintenance and physical oversight of assigned properties. Duties include day-to-day repairs, emergency maintenance, and preventative maintenance. This includes, but is not limited to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, roofing, trash pickup and painting.

Requirements:

  • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks while working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in decision making and overseeing day-to-day operations.
  • Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and work in confined spaces.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • 2 – 4 years of experience in general maintenance is required.
  • Certification in either HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or construction work is preferred.

General Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple properties through on-site inspection and written documentation.
  • Maintain a strong standard of quality workmanship through follow-up appointments and inspections.
  • Complete work orders in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
  • Check proper operation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and troubleshoot or contact vendors as necessary.
  • Inspect properties on a regular basis. Perform scheduled inspections of all electrical and life safety equipment.
  • Communicate regularly with the Property Manager about status of work orders, projects, tenant communications and/or inspections.
