Job Description: Maintenance Technicians are responsible for the general maintenance and physical oversight of assigned properties. Duties include day-to-day repairs, emergency maintenance, and preventative maintenance. This includes, but is not limited to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, roofing, trash pickup and painting.
Requirements:
- Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in decision making and overseeing day-to-day operations.
- Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and work in confined spaces.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- 2 – 4 years of experience in general maintenance is required.
- Certification in either HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or construction work is preferred.
General Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple properties through on-site inspection and written documentation.
- Maintain a strong standard of quality workmanship through follow-up appointments and inspections.
- Complete work orders in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
- Check proper operation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and troubleshoot or contact vendors as necessary.
- Inspect properties on a regular basis. Perform scheduled inspections of all electrical and life safety equipment.
- Communicate regularly with the Property Manager about status of work orders, projects, tenant communications and/or inspections.
