An Analyst with 2nd Wave Development will work directly with the Directors of Acquisitions and Development in various aspects of day-to-day operations and become heavily involved in various firm projects and client deliverables. This role will require responsive, knowledgeable, and analytical support and organization to all projects; such as due diligence, market research and data aggregation, as well as asset valuation underwriting. An exciting position with lots of growth potential, an analyst at 2nd Wave Development will be given the opportunity to grow into larger roles with a young firm while simultaneously acquiring key experience and training in multifamily development.

Core Duties & Responsibilities

  • Asset and Market data collection, research, and analysis
  • Asset cash flow underwriting and pro forma forecasting with fact-based assumptions
  • Create text, analytical, and graphical content to be included in various reports and deliverables.
  • Research and write high level industry narratives about apartment market conditions, economic conditions, specific assets and their respective attributes, city/region highlights and trends, and various other firm deliverables.
  • Assist with internal firm projects, including, but not limited to, e-presence and branding, data management, client distributions, and overall organization and scheduling
  • Attend firm meetings, and assist with preparation for site and development approval meetings and deliverables
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times, and be timely and reliable with the agreed upon work schedule

Educational & Experience Requirements

  • Finance or similar caliber business degree
  • Extensive education and/or experience in finance fundamentals as well as modeling cash flows and general return metrics
  • 1-3 years of previous work experience in a professional work office environment preferred
  • The ability to respond quickly and deliver high quality deliverables to various professionals
  • The ability to maintain a high level of organization and independently manage your daily schedule to address the needs of various simultaneous projects while consistently delivering timely deliverables of the highest quality
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite – PowerPoint, Word, Excel
  • Sound understanding of data analysis tools (primarily Excel)
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within the Commercial Real Estate Industry
  • High sense of work ethic, reliability, and a desire to develop and take on additional roles and responsibilities with a high-growth company
