Commercial Real Estate – Financial Analyst Marcus and Millichap (Tampa)

Marcus & Millichap in Tampa, Florida is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Financial Analyst to work with a high production senior agent’s team of investment brokerage specialists. The position requires previous experience supporting sales people, an understanding of financial terms and calculations, and some marketing experience and will support the daily activities of the team in a wide variety of tasks ranging from:

• Financial analysis and modeling, including but not limited to the creation of financial models, pro forma analysis including cash flow and debt/equity, net present value and discounted cash flow analysis and IRR analysis.
• Underwriting, to include establishing supportable underwriting assumptions or estimates when the information needed is not readily available.
• Abstracting property financial statements and due diligence information.
• Understanding, interpreting and identifying inconsistencies in the information received.
• Researching property specific demographics and economic trends to support financial assumptions via internal programs and internet research.
• Communicating with appropriate parties to obtain additional information when needed.
• Establishing and articulating valuation strategy based on project requirements.
• Create proposals, marketing packages, email blasts, etc. utilizing Marcus & Millichap proprietary software.

• Strong analytical aptitude
• Highly organized and detail oriented and able to work independently
• Excellent computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Applications with extensive knowledge of Excel
• Knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Photoshop helpful
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure
• Flexibility with work hours and the ability to make last minute adjustments to work requests
• Resourceful, service oriented, professional, proactive, creative, dependable, trainable
• High level of integrity and great interpersonal skills
• Four year degree with emphasis in Finance or Real Estate
