- Technical knowledge in land use, zoning and legal concepts related to development and planning activities
- Experience in review and processing of various land use applications
- Demonstrated experience in working with local government staff, officials, citizens, and nongovernmental organizations in the public zoning and planning process
- Knowledge of online applications
- Interact with clients in a professional manner
Qualifications:
- Two to three years demonstrated experience as a land use paralegal in a mid- to large-size law firm; AND/OR
- Two to three years demonstrated experience in City and County planning including:
- Technical knowledge in land use, zoning and legal concepts related to development and planning activities;
- Experience in review and processing of various land use applications;
- Demonstrated experience in working with local government staff, officials, citizens, and nongovernmental organizations in the public zoning and planning process;
- AICP Certification desired, but not required.
Candidates must be motivated, have strong written and verbal communication skills, client-oriented focus, professional demeanor, initiative, analytical thinking, attention to detail and organizational skills.
