Immediate opening for Real Estate Paralegal in Tampa
We have an excellent opportunity available for a Real Estate Paralegal for our busy Real Estate Practice Group. The RE Paralegal provides assistance to attorneys and clients in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions and finance transactions. As Real Estate Paralegal, you will assist lawyers by investigating facts, preparing legal documents, or researching legal precedent. Conduct research to support a legal proceeding, to formulate a defense, or to initiate legal action.
Requirements/Preferences:
” Candidates with a bachelor’s degree or paralegal designation preferred.
(Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.)
” A minimum of three (3) years’ work experience as a Florida paralegal is required.
” Candidates should be proficient in MS Office and electronic recording software.
” Ability to work under pressure on time-sensitive projects
” Self-motivation and the ability to work independently
” Ability to work effectively on a team and with all levels of personnel
” Excellent oral and written communication skills
” Superior knowledge of legal terminology, documents and the legal process

DUTIES?/?RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare affidavits or other documents, such as legal correspondence, and organize and maintain documents in paper or electronic filing system.
Prepare for trial by performing tasks such as organizing exhibits.
Prepare legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, appeals, wills, contracts, and real estate closing statements.
Meet with clients and other professionals to discuss details of case.
File pleadings with court clerk.
Gather and analyze research data, such as statutes, decisions, and legal articles, codes, and documents.
Call upon witnesses to testify at hearing.
Investigate facts and law of cases and search pertinent sources, such as public records, to determine causes of action and to prepare cases.
Direct and coordinate law office activity, including delivery of subpoenas.
Keep and monitor legal volumes to ensure that law library is up-to-date.
