GENERAL FUNCTION:

Solicits, underwrites, coordinates and manages the Commercial Real Estate loan portfolio. Responsible for business development and acts as the contact for brokers, contractors and vendors. Obtains pertinent market information relating to the proposed transaction and property. Reviews financial data, appraisal reports, credit reports, verifications and documents as required. Reviews loan packages for completeness of documents and compliance with Florida Community Bank N.A’s loan policy. Determines client qualifications and recommends loan terms to management. Interfaces with lending personnel.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Through known and developed prospects, originate loans that fit the banks risk profile for real estate loans. Provide a high level of customer service to the needs of commercial real estate finance clients seeking loans, prospecting, underwriting and originating new loans.
    • Evaluate credit worthiness and risks in accordance with regulations and Bank policy.
    • Participate in the management of the portfolio based on departmental objectives.
    • Assist in the restructure of adversely-graded loans and the foreclosure of problem loans, performing activities designed to preserve the loan principal, gather interest as possible and prevent the loan from being charged-off.
    • Present credit offerings to senior management and be able to respond knowledgeably and confidently to management.
    • Assist in development of markets, research and analysis of sales opportunities.
    • Adhere to confidentiality policy, code of ethics and follow all policies and procedures relative to Consumer Compliance laws and regulations and best practice recommendations.
    • All other duties as may be assigned by management.

Required Experience

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Minimum of 15 years of related experience
  • Extensive knowledge of credit/financial statement analysis, disbursement procedures, loan documentation, real estate lending regulations and title & escrow functions
  • Strong knowledge of commercial real estate lending policies and procedures, credit/financial statement analysis, loan structuring, and global cash flow analysis.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of personnel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an orientation toward customer service
  • Strong knowledge of marketing, credit practices, product solutions, relationship management, risk assessment.
  • Proven sales and marketing skills.
  • Able to assess and satisfy client needs.
  • Must be able to work independently and with a team.
  • Ability to present effective sales presentations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Established relationships within target market a plus.
  • Experience with Windows, Word, Excel and other applications.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

    • Normal office environment with little exposure to dust, noise, temperature and the like.
    • Extended viewing of CRT screen.
    • May include local or overnight business travel.
