Position overview

Serves customers by providing exceptional, professional, efficient and courteous customer service by assuming overall responsibility for the preparation and processing of all CRE and Residential loan documentation, reports and all administrative duties for at least one loan officer. Coordinate activities of the loan officer(s) regarding customer service and loan closings, as well as construction administration. Prepare and obtain all necessary documentation for lending relationships.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Closes loans for loan officer.
  • Reviews title reports for ownership, vesting, exceptions to be cleared, and verification of lien position.
  • Reviews Uniform Commercial Code search for verification of lien position.
  • Reviews corporate searches, articles, partnership agreements, etc. to identify legal borrowing entity.
  • Prepares ancillary loan documents/forms as necessary, (non-CFR) including mortgage modifications and partial releases.
  • Interacts with title companies and attorneys to balance closing statements, obtain necessary affidavits, etc.
  • Completes post-closing review of all documents to ascertain proper execution, proof of disclosures, and identify note exceptions.
  • Administers construction draw requests, including obtaining partial lien releases and title updates, as appropriate.
  • Originates and updates credit; documentation files in an organized manner, including clearing exceptions.
  • Performs various administrative duties for the loan officer (i.e. Miscellaneous reports, correspondence, memorandums, prepares weekly and monthly reports before deadlines, assists loan officer in daily activities, etc.).
  • Calls on past due loan accounts and overdrafts as needed.
  • Meet customers in a professional manner.
  • Ability to work independently and self-starter/motivator.
  • May perform other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8 years’ Experience in Commercial Real Estate Documentation and Closing
  • 8 years’ Experience in Construction Lending including knowledge in Notice to Owners & Lien Releases
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • 4 year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Qualification

  • Experience with preparing Modification of Mortgage Spreaders
  • Experience with Builder Guidance Lines
  • Experience with Fiserv core banking software
