Description
Vistra is looking for a Communications Coordinator that will support the creation, coordination, implementation of communications and marketing strategies to assist clients in reaching their goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supports the team with creating, designing, and implementing strategic communications campaigns tailored for local, state, and national corporate, nonprofit and government clients.
- Participates in client brainstorming sessions.
- Monitors, interprets, compiles, summarizes, and provides regular campaign results and findings.
- Coordinates with the communications team to write, edit and distribute customized news releases followed by pitching to specific local and national broadcast, print, radio, industry trades and online outlets.
- Monitors the media, including newspapers, magazines, journals, broadcasts, newswires, social media sites and blogs, for opportunities for clients.
- Supports strategic web content/updates, bylined articles, e-newsletters, blogs and media kits.
- Research relevant resources best suited for promoting individual clients.
- Responds to media on behalf of clients as needed while maintaining client’s consistent messages.
- Occasional travel may be required.
Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from accredited four-year College or university in public relations, marketing, communications, public relations and/or related field.
- Some experience in a related field working in an agency environment.
- Excellent written and oral presentation and communications skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with multiple audiences.
- Ability to think critically and creatively.
- Knowledge of Web and social media including Facebook, Twitter, Google +, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
- Customer service oriented with the ability to interact with the client at various levels.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while meeting multiple deadlines.
- Experience working in teams, using outside resources, and interfacing with clients/vendors regarding project deliverables.
