BRP’s Marketing & Communications team is seeking a talented Communications Specialist with proven professional writing and strategy experience in the corporate communications space. The individual in this role will work closely with our Marketing, Internal Communications, Middle Market Business Strategies, and Partnership Integrations teams to bring momentum and transparency to cross-functional initiatives.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a collaborative individual who has a high attention to detail and a passion for finding unique ways to rally people around a goal. You will also be a quick learner with a versatile writing style.

Excellent grammar, writing and editing skills are required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business leaders to translate firm strategies and support needs into action
  • Drive organizational change through strategic planning, execution of Marketing tactics, and communications
  • Work with cross-functional team members to perform writing, copyediting, and proofreading services to effectively communicate firm initiatives and launch new programs – platforms include intranet announcements and blogs, presentations, social media posts, digital signage, executive communications, videos, internal events, and newsletters
  • Deliver copy documents on time and partner effectively with internal clients to gain approval
  • Balance multiple projects with differing and aggressive timelines, deliverables, and expectations
  • Collaborate with internal colleagues to establish campaign objectives, complete tasks, and identify and solve problems
  • Continuously identify needs and recommend new strategies to achieve goals
  • Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of content
  • Execute other projects as required

Skills & Experience Desired

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, English, Journalism, or related field
  • 5+ years proven content writing or copywriting experience (must provide portfolio of work at interview)
  • 3+ years experience in corporate communications or internal communications field preferred
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience applying change management tactics required, change management certification preferred
  • Excellent writing, researching, and editing skills with the ability to shift voice based on audience
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, working on multiple projects concurrently
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and with a team to meet deadlines
  • SEO, social media or content marketing experience a plus
  • A keen eye for detail and appreciation of great design
  • Ability to adapt well to change
