Job Description:
At Regions, the Community Development Lending Manager (CDL) Relationship Manager focuses on delivery of credit, and a broad range of product/service client solutions within the Regions footprint. This includes investment and lending activity with and to Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs), affordable housing developers and high impact economic development transactions broadly in the Regions footprint.
Primary Responsibilities
- Originates transactions that lead to lending and investing opportunities
- Delivers knowledge advice and solutions and optimize revenue opportunities for Community Development Lending
- Maintains a positive reputation and network of industry contacts
- Works with relevant business partners in team-based portfolio development and expertise delivery
- Manages transactions processes from initial engagement through final close, including structure, pricing, internal approval/compliance processes and documentation
- Completes Relationship Management Process training and credit acumen assessment
- Ability to travel 30% of the time
- Remains abreast of competitor product lines and capital delivery systems
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This is a single incumbent position.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Seven (7) years’ experience in banking, community development finance, real estate development or relevant field.
- Strong negotiation and oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of the underwriting process for various affordable housing/community development finance programs.
- Proven track record of meeting financial and programmatic goals.
- Works with relevant business partners in team-based portfolio development and expertise delivery.
