Organization Description:

Community Service Foundation Inc. is a non-profit 501c.3 organization whose purpose is to provide affordable housing and other related housing services to low-income residents throughout Pinellas County. CSF has a range of housing types in its existing portfolio of 196 units including rehabbed multi-family and other rental properties. CSF provides a supportive working environment where all staff collaborates as part of the team while working independently to meet the goals of the organization.

General Nature of the Position:

The Community Housing Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating key housing services to include tenant selection, tenancy agreement administration and tenant relations of all properties and ensures that the properties are managed and maintained consistent with the financial, physical, regulatory and social goals, standards and requirements of CSF. The employee in this position is under the direction of the Office/Asset Manager.

JOB DUTIES:

Ensures that all rents are collected when due, tracked and posted in a timely manner and prepare reports for reporting purposes of rent rolls and other documents. Maintains records on all aspects of management activity on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Submits required reports to the Office/Asset Manager on a weekly and monthly basis.

MARKETING/LEASING: Post vacancies on website and potential search websites and assign applicants to a waiting list, reject applications and select tenants to fill vacancies.

Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written. Must have strong computer experience in MS Word, Excel and Outlook; Publisher. Knowledge of leasing software like Propertyware, Yardi. Ability to act with diplomacy in difficult situations. Ability to direct, motivate, train others. Must be thorough, reliable, responsible, honest, organized, flexible and service-oriented

Must have a valid Driver’s License

Education & Experience: Experienced with HUD regulations, Section 8, HOME and SHIP programs must have 2 years prior multi-family affordable housing experience. Computer literate with administrative experience in public housing or property management, and the ability to work with low-income and special needs individuals, or any equivalent combination of training and development that provide the necessary knowledge and ability. Experience working successfully in a team.
