The Community Manager is the CEO of the community. You will be responsible for the overall operation and profitability of the community. Additionally, as Community Manager, you will develop, coach, and mentor your team to drive community performance.

  • Responsible for the overall success of the community, including meeting goals related to NOI, occupancy and retention, managing expenses, and other performance expectations
  • Support organizational objectives by communicating goals with your team and encouraging individual and team accountability
  • Coach and motivate team to acheive community goals, while understanding and leveraging each individual’s strenghts
  • Recruit and hire new teammates
  • Model excellent customer service towards residents, prospects, teammates, and vendors
  • Lead the team in establishing creative marketing strategies to increase traffic
  • Maintain current knowledge and understanding of the industry, competition, and market, applying this knowledge to gauge the community’s success and improve results
  • Audit final signed lease contract and ensure files have been completed and uploaded
  • Oversee community apartment home turns and work with Service Foreman to conduct move out walk and assess apartment home specs
  • Work with Operations Manager to create annual budget for the community

 

Qualifications

  • Bachlor’s degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in the apartment property management industry
  • 5+ years of experience as a manager
  • Ability to successfully manage change and lead through adversity
  • Must have a clear understanding of business concepts, processes and the principles of strategic thinking
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of multifamily operations including: people management, financial reporting, problem-solving, sales, maintenance and resident relations
  • Tech savvy – able to create & read spreadsheets, experience in Yardi & OpsTech preferred
  • Strength in Sales / Leasing / Closing
