Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and in depth knowledge of the community, marketing practices, general property maintenance
- Understand Federal and State Fair Housing regulations, OSHA regulations, MSDS, local and Federal Employment regulations, property finances and reporting
- Maintain property occupancy through creative marketing ideas and renting apartment homes
- Maintain Guest information for future follow-up and record keeping regulations
- Greet potential residents, provide information and show apartments available for rent
- Collect and deposit daily all fees, rent money and any other charges owed
- Maintain property appearance and curb appeal
- Maintain lease enforcement through proper notice practices as needed
- Attend and assist with all coordination of resident functions
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Must be legally able to work in United States
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to pass a thorough background check
- Anyone living with you 18 or older must be able to pass a criminal background check, and approved by Princeton Property Management to live onsite
- Able to speak, read and write English competently
- Possess a valid driver license, proof of insurance, and a reliable vehicle
- Computer proficient, able to learn company software programs
- One or more years of industry-related work experience
- Must have excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
- Detail oriented, with organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and accomplish tasks with minimum supervision
- Possess basic mathematical and accounting skills and ability to fill out reports; able to perform bookkeeping and banking tasks
- Communicate effectively and productively with supervisors, staff, residents, and vendors
- Must have the ability to supervise staff and/or vendors
- Willing to carry emergency phone when required
- Non-business related persons not allowed in leasing office during business hours
- Physical Requirements:
- lift, carry, pull or push 25 lbs
- climb stairs, step stools or ladders up to 6 ft. high, twist, crouch, kneel or crawl frequently during the course of a day
- spend extended periods of time standing
- bend over to pick up items from ground level, turn from side to side
- walk on even or uneven surfaces frequently during the course of a day
- use arms, wrists and hands to grasp, squeeze, manipulate or operate machinery frequently during the course of a day
- tolerate changes in weather and be able to complete tasks inside and outside
Additional Employment Criteria
- Criminal history for the last 7 to 10 years will be reviewed for you and anyone living with you on the property
- If Self-Employed, must provide 2 verifiable references from clients and/or vendors
- Must have 2 verifiable professional references
- Must have verifiable employment history
- If living onsite:
- no adverse property debt
- no evictions from any property (s) in the last 4 years
- must have verifiable rental or home ownership history
- must not own or operate any other business (s) from the home i.e. day care, if living onsite
